Freedom's fire is ignited in the hearts of those who yearn for justice. One shining example is Jose Marti. Called the "Liberator of Cuba," Marti's dedication to fight the odds for the betterment of his country is admired by Cubans, Jews and all who treasure independence.

Marti endured many adversities to see his dream become a reality, 24 long years, fighting against his oppressors, he clung to the single ideal that some day there would be a true "Cuba Libre." During his attempts to change the political climate, Marti was exiled from Cuba, yet that did not dim his desire. He continued to write and to call others to action. Finally, he joined with Maximo Gomez, and Antonio Maceo, to organize the Cuban Revolution of 1895. Like many great heroes of history, Marti met an untimely death during the revolution. ...
